Full-Time, Non-Exempt, HourlyPOSITION SUMMARY
El-Ada Community Action Partnership is dedicated to empowering individuals and families in our community by providing essential services and resources. We are committed to fostering positive change and creating opportunities for those in need. The Weatherization Specialist at El-Ada Community Action Partnership is responsible for assisting with on-site energy assessments and installing weatherization materials. Key duties include maintaining project documentation, tracking inventory, and assisting with warehouse operations. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive homeowner experience throughout the weatherization process.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with conducting on-site energy assessments and other project activities.
- Install weatherization materials in compliance with retrofitting standards.
- Update and maintain project documentation.
- Track inventory of weatherization materials and supplies used in homes.
- Assist in day-to-day warehouse duties including receiving and storing materials, cleaning trucks, and maintaining the warehouse.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing homeowner concerns, responding to inquiries promptly, and ensuring a positive experience throughout the weatherization process.
- Participate in webinars, demonstrations, and other presentations, as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong ability to interact with diverse clients, providing excellent customer service.
- Know how to use basic hand and power tools commonly used in construction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and maintain detailed records efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and contribute to team efforts.
- Dependable transportation, valid driver's license and must possess and maintain a good, insurable driving record.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills; including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.).
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and background check through
IDHW PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED; additional technical or vocational training in energy auditing, building science, or a related field
- One year experience in the construction industry.

- Required to operate a vehicle, involving extended periods of sitting, operating vehicle controls, and maintaining focus and attention while driving safely in various weather conditions and traffic situations.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
