Weatherization Fiscal Specialist

Overview:

The Weatherization Fiscal Specialist is responsible for compiling date for financial statements in accordance with funding source requirements, maintaining accurate payroll records, and processing payments based on properly submitted vouchers and invoices. This role also includes reviewing and approving expenditure requests, as well as ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable. In addition, the Weatherization Fiscal Specialist supports the Fiscal/HR Manager with internal billing for agency programs, and perform daily data entry, filing and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and experience or knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping is highly desirable. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Prepare financial statements
• Prepare and maintain payroll records
• Maintain accurate filing system
• Review expenditure requests
• Review packing and shipping statements to ensure receipt of all goods ordered
• Prepare and disburse payments upon receipt
• Maintain accurate and up to date accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist the Fiscal/HR Manager Must be willing to undergo background checks
