NDT Assistant

About the Role Vantage Point Inspection is hiring a reliable, hardworking individual based in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area to join our team as an NDT Assistant . This is a field-based position , not an office job. You will work on active job sites and travel regularly throughout North Carolina and South Carolina , as well as Virginia and Georgia, including some overnight stays. This role may also include being featured in company photos and videos for social media and marketing purposes , so candidates must be comfortable being on camera while working in the field. What You'll Do Assist Level II Technicians with pipeline and field inspections Set up and break down inspection equipment at job sites Work outdoors on roadways, construction sites, and industrial locations Learn Non-Destructive Testing methods through hands-on training Travel to job sites (overnights required as needed) Occasionally appear in company social media content (photos/videos taken on job sites) Who This Job Is For This position is ideal for someone who: Lives in the nearby Spartanburg, South Carolina area. Is comfortable working during the week, weekends, staying overnight when needed Is comfortable being on camera for work-related social media content Wants to learn a skilled trade with long-term career growth Is dependable and ready for physically demanding work What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and reliability ( attendance is critical ) Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying conditions Willingness to work long hours, early mornings, and occasional weekends Comfortable with some travel Comfortable being photographed or recorded for social media use Minimum Requirements Authorized to work in the U.S. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record High school diploma or GED Ability to pass a DOT drug test and background check Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly Must wear required PPE (steel-toe boots, hard hat, safety vest, etc.) Preferred (Not Required) Construction, pipeline, or outdoor labor experience Mechanical or hands-on background Experience working in physically demanding environments

Pay:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
