Schedule:

Rotating shift (minimum 12 hours/day) plus on-call hours; evenings, weekends, and holidays based on customer need

Employment Type:

Full-Time (30+ hours), Permanent What You'll Do Perform volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials in lines, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships Conduct visual inspections on lines, pumps, manifolds, shore tanks, rail cars, tank trucks, barges, and ships Complete custody transfer surveys of commodities transferred to and from rail cars, tank trucks, shore tanks, barges, and ships Perform routine equipment calibration, verification, and function checks Verify and communicate results obtained and make entries into appropriate media (print or electronic) Provide on-the-job assistance and receive training from more experienced inspectors Communicate and coordinate with terminal, transport, and company personnel to promote smooth exercise of duties Monitor supply availability and communicate needs to the Dispatcher or Coordinator Organize and coordinate jobs so services are rendered and reports and samples are submitted in a timely manner Maintain work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition Understand and adhere to Caleb Brett safety procedures What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED 2 years of experience Some experience with volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of commodity materials Ability to work on an on-call basis Ability to work outdoors during adverse weather conditions (rain, heat, wind, cold) Flexible schedule position includes evenings, weekends, and holidays based on customer need High tolerance for job pressure and extended hours Valid driver's license and reliable driving record (required) TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) or ability to acquire/maintain one Physical Requirements Ability to perform duties in various outdoor conditions and at heights Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401(k) with company match Generous vacation and sick time (PTO) Tuition reimbursement Competitive compensation including paid overtime Background Requirements Candidates must pass a drug screen and a background check.
