Positions are located throughout the state. This is professional clinical, food quality, or veterinary diagnostic laboratory work. Responsibilities Plan and direct the work of sections by monitoring workflow and ensuring employees are trained. Perform specimen and sample processing. Perform testing. Report results. Monitor performance and documentation of function checks, preventive maintenance, quality control, and proficiency testing activities. Request reagents and supplies. •
Note:
This classification is also housed in our Quality Management Division, in which no testing occurs, but staff ensure compliance with our various regulatory agencies by conducting internal audits, auditing the county health departments, reviewing documents, etc. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Medical Technology or in a chemical, physical, or biological science, including 12 semester or 18 quarter hours of combined coursework in microbiology, biochemistry, immunology, parasitology, virology, hematology, or related coursework. 3 years of professional clinical, food quality, or veterinary diagnostic laboratory experience performing standard microbiology and chemical tests and microscopic examinations.
