PM Pacific Position Information Examinations:
Appraisal (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of evaluating the applicant's training, education, experience, interest and personal fitness for the position. Appraisal can be based on any of the following: Investigation, interview and/or application. Should an oral examination be necessary, the oral examination will be weighted at 100%. Should an oral exam be necessary, a preliminary screening of applicants may limit the number advancing to the oral exam to approximately the top 15 candidates. Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process. Minimum Qualifications /
Employment Standards:
Certification as a Public Health Microbiologist by the State of California, Department of Public Health. Incumbents may be exposed to pathogenic organisms, acids and caustic or volatile chemicals, and must be willing to work with AIDS virus. Incumbents must be willing to be immunized against various communicable diseases, including rabies, in order to handle specimens. Please ensure applicable materials are attached to your application.
