Job Description
Join the forefront of groundbreaking research at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research. We are looking for a Research Associate I to work in the Department of Diabetes Complications and Metabolism to study mechanisms of diabetes and complications in kidney and liver. You will work in the wet lab and City of Hope animal facility. As a successful candidate you will:
- Participate in a diabetes project to study the new mechanism and therapeutic approaches.
- Work with PI and a postdoctoral fellow to do the biochemistry, cell culture and animal work for the assigned project
- Have experience with cell culture, western blotting, real time PCR, and/or bacterial protein expression Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience
- Experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and animal work
