Pay Rate:

$32-35/hour

Overview:

In this role, you will apply microbiology techniques to monitor beverage quality, conduct microbial risk assessments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze and communicate laboratory data, and help prevent product spoilage in a dynamic production environment.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 10:00am to 6:30pm, OT and weekend work occasionally required

Responsibilities:

Utilize classical microbiology methods such as plating, total plate counts, and membrane filtration to monitor product quality and environmental hygiene. Conduct specialized analyses for yeast, mold, and bacterial contaminants in beverage samples, using strong microscopy skills for accurate microorganism identification. Perform comprehensive sample collection from production environments and carry out general analytical testing, including pH, color, and other routine assays. Interpret and communicate laboratory results clearly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address quality or sanitation concerns and implement corrective actions. Apply knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and laboratory standards to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of microbiological testing protocols. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or related field. 1+ years of experience in microbiology lab. GMP experience preferred .
