Job Description

Job Title:
QC Microbiology Associate II Pay Rate:
$24-25/hr
Shift Days:
Sunday
  • Thursday Hours:
    7am
  • 3:30pm (should be flexible to working OT as needed) Bachelors Degree in Microbiology, Biology or biochemistry
  • knowledge of aseptic techniques.
1 year of GMP experience preferred in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities Handle microbiological sample receiving, labeling, preparation, testing, counting, checking, and recording data analysis on finished products and stability test samples. Retrieve and sort samples for testing in the laboratory. Prepare media and samples, perform autoclave duties, and conduct other microbiological tasks. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP guidelines. Support the department by scheduling and executing equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Demonstrate competency in sample labeling, collection, documentation, and testing. Perform basic microbiological assays. Adhere to good documentation practices (GDP) and data integrity practices. Complete and review all aspects of a job to ensure quality. Engage in continuous learning and training to meet testing demands. Maintain and ensure good performance, maintenance, and housekeeping of lab equipment and facilities. Interact closely with other departments to ensure efficient, compliant, and timely execution of project activities. Participate in the development of process and test methods, specifications, procedures, and equipment operating instructions. Essential Skills Proficiency in microbiology techniques and working in a microbiology laboratory. Understanding and application of aseptic techniques and quality control processes. Experience in media and sample preparation, sterilization, environmental monitoring, and GMP practices. Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology, Biology, or Biochemistry. 9-12 months of GMP experience preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of aseptic techniques. Willingness to undergo a one-week training program. Work Environment You will work in a GMP-regulated environment with the product release department, performing microbiology testing. The work schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility required for additional hours as needed. The environment is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Irvine, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00
