  • Description
  • This position supports hair care development including developing new products of varying degrees of complexity. Duties include researching raw materials, bench formulation work, analytical instrumentation, analysis, stability work on formulas, and work towards Data Integrity activities.
  • Long Description
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Complete formulation using new ingredients to demonstrate preliminary viability of new ingredients, protocols and technologies, and monitor the stability of such formulas. + Assist in development of prototype formulations with appropriate R D product formulator(s). + Coordinate product testing by preparing samples for various labs such as safety, microbiology, and claims, and organize the data obtained from such testing. + Maintain a detailed laboratory notebook that documents progress of experiments and projects. + Provide written and graphical summaries of methods, results and conclusions on a consistent basis. + Assistance with creation of SOPs/WKIs and training for them. + Research and source novel raw materials and technologies. + Interact with all R D departments and external departments (QA, Marketing and Education) when necessary. + Utilize computer systems available to R D for formula and data management and requesting tests. + Learn the New Product Launch process to ensure timely completion of project activities. + Understand corporate and Brand values and incorporate into sourcing of materials and formulations. + Inform laboratory management and key project members on progress of process. + Various lab duties including housekeeping and supply maintenance. + Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of R D systems including RDS preferred. Knowledge of Word and Excel. Email (Outlook preferred). Ability to work in the lab. Standing at lab bench, wearing required PPE, comfortable working around mixers, homogenizers, hot water baths, and cosmetic raw materials.

  • The anticipated base salary range for this position is

    Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
