Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Scientist specializing in Molecular Biology and Microbiology to join our dynamic research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular techniques, microbiological assays, and laboratory management systems. Ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge scientific research within a regulated environment, supporting the development of innovative solutions in healthcare and biotechnology sectors. Duties Perform DNA isolation, RNA extraction, and PCR to support various research projects. Conduct microbiological testing, including culture and microscopy, to identify and analyze microbial samples. Maintain laboratory compliance with GLP, CLIA, and FDA regulations to ensure data integrity and quality standards. Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for accurate data entry, sample tracking, and reporting. Prepare reagents, buffers, and media according to standardized protocols. Assist in method development and validation for molecular and microbiological assays. Document experimental procedures meticulously and analyze data for scientific research publications or regulatory submissions. Adhere to safety protocols including aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during experiments. Skills Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR and DNA/RNA extraction, Strong microbiology skills including microbial culture, microscopy, and aseptic technique. Experience with laboratory automation systems and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). Hands-on experience with microbiological culture techniques for research or diagnostic purposes. Ability to interpret complex data sets and prepare detailed scientific reports. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate laboratory records.
