20-21/hr Position Summary Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a motivated Scientist I to join a Quality Control Microbiology laboratory supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career scientists looking to build hands-on experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. In this role, you will perform microbiological and environmental testing on pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and stability samples while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform microbiological and environmental testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and stability samples using validated internal and compendial test methods. Conduct routine laboratory testing to evaluate product identity, strength, purity, and quality using microbiological techniques. Identify, investigate, and report out-of-specification (OOS), atypical, or unexpected laboratory results. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed. Accurately document laboratory procedures, testing activities, and analytical results using laboratory systems and approved documentation practices. Communicate testing results and findings clearly with Quality Control and cross-functional teams. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization, and equipment to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and company safety policies. Maintain compliance with all quality, regulatory, and site-specific requirements. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, or another related scientific discipline. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous laboratory experience through internships, undergraduate research, or academic coursework. Experience working in a GMP-regulated microbiology or pharmaceutical laboratory is preferred but not required. Familiarity with microbiological testing, aseptic laboratory techniques, and laboratory documentation. Basic understanding of cGMP and GLP requirements. Ideal Candidate Passionate about beginning a career in pharmaceutical Quality Control Microbiology. Highly detail-oriented with strong documentation practices. Eager to learn new laboratory techniques and develop technical expertise. Comfortable working in a regulated laboratory environment. Pay Details:
$20.00 to $21.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
