Full-Time | 100% On-Site Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Microbiology Lab Technician to join our quality and laboratory team in Bethlehem, PA. This individual will support microbiological testing and quality assurance activities for consumer packaged goods products and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a fast-paced production setting, and is passionate about maintaining product safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, and environmental swabs Prepare media, reagents, and laboratory samples according to SOPs and GMP guidelines Conduct microbial enumeration and pathogen testing using established laboratory methods Maintain accurate laboratory documentation, test records, and data entry within LIMS or related systems Assist with environmental monitoring programs and sanitation verification activities Support investigations related to out-of-specification results and contamination events Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated, cleaned, and properly maintained Follow all safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements including FDA, GMP, and HACCP standards Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Production, and Operations teams to support product quality initiatives Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the laboratory and manufacturing environment Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, Chemistry, or related scientific field preferred 1-3 years of microbiology laboratory experience preferred, ideally within food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or CPG manufacturing Experience with aseptic technique, plating methods, and microbial testing procedures Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FDA, or ISO standards preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory data systems Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Skills Environmental monitoring experience Knowledge of food safety and quality systems Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to quality and compliance Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during laboratory testing Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Comfortable working in both laboratory and manufacturing environments Why Join Us?
