Eng I - Regional Electric NV Energy - 3.5 Reno, NV Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Qualifications Word processing Spreadsheets Research Desktop applications Productivity software Database software proficiency Full Job Description Basic Purpose Provides a wide variety of distribution engineering services and technical support encompassing service reliability, voltage levels, area capacity, and problem solving in the service area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Performs the routine aspects of assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles and calculations. Uses fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures; and performs specific and limited portions of assigned tasks. Assists senior engineering staff in providing beginning-to-end technical support for capital and operating and maintenance projects to include development of the business case, scope, budget, and schedule. Provides engineering support for the Distribution design process by reviewing and approving design drawings, providing technical design estimates, and providing technical support for the discovery process. Supports the implementation of operational technology policies and procedures to comply with evolving industry standards. Participates in continuous performance improvement initiatives. Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Perform related duties as assigned. Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles. Demonstrated analytical, and problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skills to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience and managing multiple tasks. Demonstrated research, analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment with some field work. No special physical demands required.
