Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Sample Prep Technician to join their team. As a Sample Prep Technician, you will be an essential part of the laboratory support team, ensuring the integrity and quality of samples for accurate analysis. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

  • Saturday, 3:00 PM to 11:00
PM Training Schedule:
Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm to 11:00pm What's the Job? Perform physical drying, dividing, crushing, and mixing of coal and coke samples to prepare representative analysis samples. Receive, verify, and document incoming samples, reporting discrepancies to supervisors. Use laboratory moisture ovens and pulverization equipment following established protocols. Accurately portion, bottle, and store samples for laboratory testing, maintaining sample integrity. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by disinfecting work areas and equipment regularly. What's Needed? High school diploma or GED; relevant experience is preferred. Steel-toe shoes are required; all other PPE will be provided. Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Ability to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions meticulously. Valid Virginia driver's license and dependable transportation are mandatory. What's in it for me?
