A large and growing hospital in Fairbanks, AK is currently seeking a permanent hire (staff) Medical Physicist to join their team full-time!

Relocation Assistance Schedule:
Full Time, Mon-Fri, Days Benefits:
insurance, 401k with employer match, tuition assistance, wellness program, discount program, childcare service. The Medical Physicist/b> responsibilities may include but not be limited to:
  • Review and approve complex radiation treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and dosimetrists, ensuring dose accuracy and patient safety.
  • Conduct patient-specific quality assurance checks for IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS, and brachytherapy cases.
  • Assist with commissioning, acceptance testing, and implementation of new equipment, software, and treatment techniques.
  • Serve as a technical resource for radiation safety, shielding evaluations, and exposure monitoring.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Master's in medical physics, physics, or related field, Board certification by ABR in Therapeutic Medical Physics, and 2 years of experience
  • Board certified or board eligible by the ABR in Therapeutic Medical Physics, required. Knowledge typically obtained with two (2) or more years of clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with radiation therapy equipment and software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment.
