Where You'll Work CHI St. Vincent, a regional health network serving Arkansas, is part of CommonSpirit Health. We have served Arkansas since 1888 with a history of many firsts. We care about our team member well-being and offer benefits that complement and support your work/life balance Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Physicist, you will be a central figure responsible for conducting advanced research, developing innovative theories, and applying fundamental physics principles to solve complex scientific and technological challenges. You will play a vital role in advancing knowledge and fostering discovery.

Every day, you will meticulously design and execute experiments, collect and analyze complex data, develop and validate theoretical models, and present findings clearly. You will also collaborate extensively with multidisciplinary teams, utilize advanced tools, and continuously strive to push boundaries in your specialized area.

To be successful in this role, you will combine a Ph.D. in Physics or a related field, a proven track record of significant research, and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. You will demonstrate a meticulous approach to scientific inquiry, strong communication, and thrive in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating environment dedicated to groundbreaking innovations. Performance specification, acceptance testing, and commissioning of new equipment. Calibration and characterization of radiation from therapeutic sources and machines and their physical properties and arrangements Development and maintenance of quality assurance programs for all treatment modalities, localization procedures, and computational equipment to assure that patients receive prescribed doses within acceptable degrees of accuracy. Maintenance of all instrumentation required for calibration of sources, measurement of radiation and calibration of doses. Maintains records of use of radionuclides for brachytherapy procedures. Assembles and prepares brachytherapy applications and interstitial sources; loads and threads sources, as needed. Returns sources to the storage area. First-order maintenance of treatment units in conjunction with the service engineer. Job Requirements Required Masters Other Medical Physics , upon hire and 3-5 years of clinical experience; and Experience with Linac-based SRS and SBRT; and Experience with Linear Accelerators, Aria, and Eclipse, and Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited medical physics residency.
