Job Description

Header Coho Integrated Solutions is seeking a highly motivated Health Physicist at NASA Armstrong located in Lancaster, CA. Overview Join our dynamic team as a Health Physicist at NASA Armstrong and become a vital contributor to ensuring safety, compliance, and excellence in clinical and research environments. In this role, you will apply your expertise in radiation safety, regulatory standards, and scientific research to support the safe use of radioactive materials and radiation-producing devices. Your proactive approach will help maintain the highest standards of health physics practices, fostering a secure environment for staff, patients, and research participants. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of health physics and clinical research. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee radiation safety programs in compliance with FDA regulations, OSHA standards, and other relevant guidelines. Conduct routine surveys and assessments of facilities to monitor radiation levels and ensure adherence to safety protocols. Provide expert guidance on laboratory procedures involving radioactive materials and radiation sources. Maintain detailed documentation of radiation usage, safety inspections, incident reports, and compliance records. Train staff on health physics best practices, including proper handling of radioactive materials and emergency procedures. Collaborate with clinical research teams to ensure protocols meet regulatory standards such as ICH GCP (International Conference on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice). Manage data related to radiation exposure, safety audits, and regulatory reporting requirements. Requirements Proven experience in health physics within clinical or laboratory settings; familiarity with laboratory procedures involving radioactive materials is preferred. Certification in ICH Good Clinical Practice (GCP) from a recognized issuer for CA or equivalent certification. Knowledge of FDA regulations concerning medical devices and radiological safety standards. Strong understanding of
GLP, CGMP, OSHA
regulations, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) protocols. Demonstrated ability to manage compliance documentation and conduct risk assessments effectively. Experience working with clinical trials or scientific research involving radiation or hazardous materials is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for training staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. $165,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
