Job Description

Job Description Key Responsibilities. 1.Conduct quality assurance checks on radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, CT scanner, treatment planning systems, and imaging devices. 2. Provide technical support for treatment planning, including contouring, dose calculations, and plan optimization using advanced treatment planning systems. Perform treatment planning on an as-needed basis for both external beam and HDR brachytherapy treatments. 3. Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and radiation therapists on development and implementation of patient treatment plans, including simulation coverage as needed. 4. Perform routine checks of patient treatment parameters, monitor patient dose delivery, and ensure compliance with treatment prescriptions. 5. Provide training and education to staff members on radiation safety, treatment techniques, and new technology implementations. 6. Maintain accurate documentation of all quality assurance activities and equipment calibration 7. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards applicable to radiation oncology.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Master's degree in medical physics Required, PhD preferred. ABR or ABMP certification required. Experience working in clinical radiation oncology environment preferred. Proficiency with treatment planning software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to maintaining patient safety and quality care standards. Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
