Responsibilities Position Summary:
"The Medical Physicist Assistant provides support to the Clinical Medical Physicists in the general medical physics duties pertaining to operating a radiotherapy clinic. This includes machine and patient specific quality assurance (QA), development and implementation of new technology and process, participation in the acceptance testing and commissioning of a new treatment machine, etc. The individual will work under the direct supervision of a board-certified clinical physicist. Qualifications
REQUIRED
Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited college or university and/or certification in radiation oncology.
PREFERRED
Bachelor's degree in physics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or science from an accredited college or university. Experience with Radiation Oncology EMR software and treatment planning systems. Proficiency in coding and scripting in C# or Python. Ability to work as part of an integrated care and process team. Ability to work flexible hours as needed especially late night shifts to conduct patient specific quality assurance. Ability to manage time and prioritize work flow. Technical problem solving. Excellent communication and computer skills.
