About the
Job Shift:
Days, Mon - Friday.
The Opportunity:
Join a leading clinical team in Des Moines as a Radiation Physicist . You will lead technical quality assurance and collaborate directly with Radiation Oncologists to deliver high-precision therapeutic care. This role offers a professional, mission-driven environment with the flexibility of one remote day per week . Why Apply?
Work-Life Balance:
Primarily Monday-Friday day shifts.
Hybrid Flexibility:
Eligibility for 1 remote day/week.
Cutting-Edge Tech:
Direct involvement in IOeRT, HDR, and SRS treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform QA, commissioning, and calibrations for linear accelerators and brachytherapy equipment. Collaborate with Oncologists on External Beam, SRS, and HDR treatment planning. Oversee technical activities for the dosimetry and therapy staff. Ensure full compliance with Iowa HHS and federal regulatory requirements. Participate in IOeRT treatments and monitor HDR procedures.
Requirements:
Education:
M.S. in Medical Physics or related field (Required); PhD preferred.
Residency:
Must have completed a residency within the last 5 years.
Certification:
Board Certified by the ABR or ABMP (Required).
Licensure:
Eligible for Authorized Medical Physicist (AMP) status in Iowa.
Experience:
3-5 years of clinical experience is highly preferred.
