Job Description:
Description The University of Chicago's Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. The appointees will provide radiation oncology services at department locations and may lead a practice comprised of one or two radiation oncologists as well as nursing, physics, dosimetry, and therapy staff. The clinical work will primarily be based at Crown Point, with Hyde Park as a secondary location and other Chicago-area network sites as needed. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana, 3) be Board certified or eligible in radiation oncology, and 4) have completed an ACGME-accredited residency or equivalent in radiation oncology. We especially welcome applicants who have formerly served as an attending radiation oncologist in an academic institution, as well as those who have experience participating in clinical trials.
