Job Description

Join Our Team as a Radiation Oncology Physician and Make a Difference in Cancer Care! Are you a dedicated Radiation Oncology Physician seeking a rewarding opportunity to utilize your expertise in a collaborative, patient-centered environment? We're looking for a compassionate and skilled MD to provide specialized cancer treatment coverage during a short-term assignment. What You'll Do:
Diagnose and evaluate cancer patients by reviewing medical history and diagnostic tests to develop personalized radiation treatment plans. Administer advanced radiation therapies such as stereotactic radiosurgery, ensuring precision and safety. Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed to optimize outcomes. Manage side effects and provide compassionate patient care. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team to deliver comprehensive cancer treatment. Engage in research efforts aimed at improving radiation oncology practices.
Required Skills:
Valid New York State Medical License Board Certification in Radiation Oncology Minimum of 2 years recent relevant experience Current CPR (AHA BLS) and ACLS certification Proficiency in EPIC electronic medical records and automated medication systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Nice to
Have Skills:
Experience with stereotactic radiosurgery and advanced radiation techniques Prior experience in a clinic setting with adult patients Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Preferred Education & Experience:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development Proven track record of delivering high-quality radiation oncology care in a clinical setting
Other Requirements:
Availability for short-term coverage from November 10th to 12th, 2026 (preference for Nov 10-12, but flexible) Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM; call not required Maintain professional attire (business casual), adhere to dress code, and uphold strict safety and hygiene standards Leave cell phones in lockers during shifts; call-in policy requires a 2-hour notice Must be in good standing with no significant employment gaps or malpractice issues; provide updated work history and relevant documentation Take the next step in your radiation oncology career and join a facility committed to excellence in cancer treatment.
