Calibrates therapy equipment, performs QA, measures beam data, and collaborates with engineers to troubleshoot and maintain systems. Commissions therapy equipment and accessories, standardizes calibration, and develops new treatment techniques and tools. Develops and maintains departmental QA and radiation safety programs; collaborates with physicians to analyze outcomes and refine protocols. Verifies dosimetric data, validates treatment‑planning algorithms, and supports national and international protocol benchmarking. Consults with Radiation Oncologists on treatment planning, target delineation, imaging quality, and advanced modeling. Leads imaging performance oversight and establishes processes for high‑quality treatment‑planning and delivery images. Supports design and modification of radiotherapy treatment spaces to meet national radiation‑protection standards and advises on major equipment acquisitions. Provides staff education, radiation‑safety training, accreditation support, competency development, and regulatory compliance oversight. Demonstrates age‑specific clinical knowledge and delivers care appropriate across the patient lifespan.
