Overview Texas Oncology is excited to announce the opportunity for a full-time, vibrant, team-oriented Medical Physicist (MS or PhD) to join our group of four radiation oncology centers located in the San Antonio, TX region. Responsibilities Although each center operates independently day-to-day, all four collaborate as fully staffed Texas Oncology clinics in the greater San Antonio and New Braunfels areas. The centers share a unified
ARIA R&V
database, Eclipse TPS (3D/IMRT/SBRT), Radcalc secondary check, and Sun Nuclear QA devices. Across the region, clinical resources include four Varian linear accelerators (C-Series and TrueBeam), a Nucletron HDR afterloader, four CT simulators (GE and Siemens), and a mobileGET PET/CT.
Collectively, the centers treat approximately 140 patients per day. The physics and clinical team includes: 5 Radiation Oncologists 1 Chief Medical Physicist 4 Staff Medical Physicists 1 Chief Radiation Therapist 6 Medical Dosimetrists 11 Radiation Therapists 4 Lead Radiation Therapists Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Board certification or board eligibility in therapy physics by the ABR A valid Texas state license 2+ years of experience Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR Experience with Varian linear accelerators Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skillsPreferred Experience:
Eclipse treatment planning experience HDR treatment planning and delivery ARIA proficiency Prior experience with SBRT and SRS programmatic workflowsQualifications:
