Job Description

Corporate Tax Manager - Methods, Credits & Incentives R D As a Tax Manager - Methods, Credits & Incentives (R D Tax Credit Practice), you will navigate complex federal and state R D tax credit regulations and provide strategic, practical tax advisory services to clients across multiple industries. You will collaborate closely with MCI leadership, supervise R D engagements, conduct fieldwork, support business development initiatives, and ensure projects are completed in accordance with firm standards-on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities Visit client locations and tour facilities Investigate and document relevant facts Analyze accounting and financial data Prepare cost lead schedules and cost summary schedules Perform tax computations Prepare comprehensive written reports summarizing findings Manage multiple R D credit projects simultaneously Ensure projects are completed within scope, timeline, and budget Lead engagement execution and supervise team members Maintain adherence to firm standards Apply federal and state R D tax credit regulations Interpret relevant court cases and IRS guidance Support amended tax return preparation Understand and apply tax return mechanics Perform research on complex tax issues Assist with proposal development and client pursuits Identify additional service opportunities Support sales and marketing efforts Required Qualifications (Must-Haves) Bachelor's degree in related field Active
CPA OR JD
(active attorney license required) 6-10 years of R D tax credit experience (Open to Fixed Asset or Tax Accounting Method experience) Minimum 4 years in Accounting or Tax within public accounting or consulting Prior project management experience Strong understanding of federal and state R D rules and court cases Experience amending tax returns Intermediate understanding of tax return mechanics Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines Strong verbal and written communication skills Willingness and ability to travel to client sites Preferred Qualifications Master's or Ph.D.
