The Manager will diagnose, develop, and implement solutions for client tax needs. The Manager will also direct tax research, formulate tax plans, train new staff employees, senior consultants and consultants, and perform tax reviews. •Open remotely anywhere in the U.S.•Duties and responsibilities, as they align to
Ryan's Key Results:
Conduct QA/QC reviews of R D tax credit studies for accuracy and completeness. Support quality control for cost segregation, §179D, and §45L studies. Assist in developing review protocols and training materials. Maintain a small book of studies to stay technically sharp. Participate in client calls and provide technical support as needed.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in federal tax incentives, especially R D credits. Strong attention to detail and documentation standards. Effective communication and organizational skills.
Professional Skills:
Must have excellent organization and time management skills, strong communication skills, and willingness to learn and be a team player. Expert level knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Internet navigation and legal/technical tax code research tools.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid driver's license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Assists Director and/or Manager, as requested, to directly supervise employees in the R D Tax practice and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws.
Work Environment:
Standard indoor working environment. Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer. Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
Travel Requirement:
up to 30 - 50%
