• 120,000 + Bonus/Equity Potential Renegade Plastics is hiring an R D Manager to lead product development, pilot production, and materials innovation for a fast-growing sustainability-focused manufacturing company.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone with experience in plastics manufacturing, extrusion, materials science, polymer chemistry, or industrial product development who wants to help build next-generation sustainable materials. If you enjoy solving technical problems, improving manufacturing processes, working directly with leadership, and helping scale a growing company — we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Lead pilot production operations and support day-to-day manufacturing activities Drive R D efforts for new coated textile and polymer-based products Work with suppliers to evaluate new resins and material formulations Improve manufacturing processes using lean and continuous improvement principles Oversee product testing, quality control, and performance validation Partner with leadership on future production line development and scaling operations Analyze product performance data and communicate findings clearly Support commercial production orders and customer-driven product improvements What We're Looking For 3+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing, extrusion, materials R D, or coated fabrics Background in Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Chemistry, or related field preferred Knowledge of polymer materials, plastics processing, or extrusion systems Experience with manufacturing troubleshooting and process improvement Familiarity with quality testing standards and technical reporting Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, startup-style environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Why Join Renegade Plastics?
