Gas Chromatography Systems Maxum LLC seeks Manager, R D Test and Certification in Houston, TX. Responsible for compliance of process gas chromatograph product design with legal standards. Responsible for testing process gas chromatograph product design. Lead direct reports and others to fulfill these responsibilities. Select the testing strategy for unit, integration, and system testing throughout the lifecycle of all aspects of the process gas chromatograph. Derive and report systematic test coverage from requirements and specifications. Specify, assign, and coordinate the necessary testing resources, and ensure availability of appropriate testing tools environment. Develop and guide direct reports in all aspects of people management and work with the line managers of all testing resources to secure their assignments and availability. Regularly evaluate the state of the art for testing methods, tools, and processes, and recommend the implementation of testing improvements. Advance test automation within the R D department to drive the overall efficiency and quality of test execution. Work closely with the R D project managers, design engineers, and test professionals to create and maintain estimates for the overall project plan for the required test time and effort. Regularly review the backlog of product defects to help prioritize their resolution with the available time and resources. Work together with the hardware and software R D managers and will advise the R D director in setting product development priorities, budgets, and personnel strategies. Some travel, up to 5% to unanticipated international worksites in Europe and Asia, and up to 5% domestic travel to unanticipated worksites in the United States required. Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, followed by 8 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate work experience in the job offered, or in an engineering-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. 8 years of experience in testing professionally in a product development environment. 2. 8 years of experience in new product introduction. 3. 5 years of experience in product certification to external technical standards for explosion protection. 4. 5 years of experience in selection of testing strategies 5. 2 years of experience in people management. 6. 1 year of experience in process gas chromatography product development and product maintenance Some travel, up to 5% to unanticipated international worksites in Europe and Asia, and up to 5% domestic travel to unanticipated worksites in the United States required. $210,787 per year.
