INTERNAL POSTING
This position is posted in compliance with Alabama Code §16-22-15. It is the intent to place a current employee in this position. The Institutional Research Analyst prepares and interprets institutional data to support data-informed decision-making, student success initiatives, continuous improvement, and compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements. The position collaborates with academic, administrative, and student services units to translate data into actionable insights that support institutional goals.

Applicants must provide information from previous employers documenting full-time related work experience if an offer is made. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the IPEDS Keyholder for the institution. Collect, analyze, verify and submit IPEDS surveys. Provide support for SACSCOC and programmatic accreditation requirements, especially data needs. Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring institutional reports on student enrollment and outcomes. Collect, verify and submit data requested by ACHE. Use database tools to complete all institutional data requests in a timely manner. Prepare various Institutional Effectiveness & Research data publications for stakeholders. Work with academic areas to prepare and submit annual Perkins Reports. Support the college's strategic planning process. Collect data and submit program performance reports for WIOA approval. Conduct, analyze, and report labor market information to assist the college in decision making. Support the college's assessment of student learning outcomes including generating reports. Serve as official contact person for data/reporting to the National Postsecondary Student Aid Study administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Assist administrative, academic services, and student services units with the assessment of outcomes. Prepare reports via Argos reporting tool. Develop data dashboards for use by college stakeholders. Facilitate the Academic Program Review process, including extracting data for review. Support, distribute, and analyze college-wide surveys and assessments. Coordinate information to update the Institutional Effectiveness & Research website. Monitor and stay current on information related to institutional effectiveness and research, including DPE, SACSCOC, ACCS, ACHE, IPEDS, etc. Compile reports, charts, and graphs that describe and interpret findings of analyses. Conduct research to support college-wide activities. Prepare presentation materials. Perform all duties with professionalism. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of three (3) years work experience in higher education is required . A minimum of four (4) years experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, database software, or reporting systems is required . Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate through their experiences and accomplishments Ability to develop and coordinate multiple projects and activities. Ability to perform query functions using SQL. Ability to develop data dashboards. Knowledge of community college policies and procedures. Knowledge of rules of grammar. Knowledge of FERPA. Ability to utilize Excel or other database software (such as Access) to enter, format, sort and analyze information and prepare reports. Ability to utilize Word or other word processing tools to prepare and communicate information. Ability to make decisions based on correspondence, data or other information. Ability to utilize and search the internet for information. Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to work and communicate with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to utilize email systems to communicate information. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to operate in a professional manner at all times. Ability to proof and correct materials according to rules of grammar and business etiquette. Ability to operate in high pressure situations and respond to issues in a calm manner. Ability to create visual presentations using PowerPoint or another similar tool. Exhibits conscientiousness by taking pride in work quality and striving for accuracy and completeness.
