Conduct individually-initiated and collaborative biostatistical research.
Teach graduate-level courses in biostatistics, direct and advise masters and doctoral level students, and work with other faculty in developing and maintaining interdisciplinary graduate programs through joint planning, team teaching, and cooperative research.
Mentor investigators across campus and at partner institutions in research design and data analysis, as well as provide statistical consultation and collaborative research support.
Participate in faculty governance and oversight through committee membership at the department, college and university levels. Engage in service to the public and in professional service activities.
Qualifications:
Required
Doctoral degree (Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Science, or Doctor of Public Health) in biostatistics/statistics or a closely related field. All areas of statistical research will be considered.
Record of publications in peer-reviewed national or international scholarly journals.
Evidence of potential to obtain extramural funding.
Preferences (Not Required)
Evidence of teaching experience and mentoring students.
Previous experience in clinical and translational research.
Record of presentation at academic conferences.
