Develops, adapts, and builds equipment, procedures, and techniques to fit specific experiment requirements. Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots equipment, instruments, and apparatuses. This includes learning techniques such as: protein assay, immunohistochemistry, and cell culture with downstream analysis. Attend weekly lab meeting to present project updates. Participate in development of scientific projects, grant writing, and manuscript writing and preparation. Develop scientific figures for projects. Stay up to date with literature. Attend and partake in local seminars and conferences. Lab maintenance, including Mopping/sweeping, Decontamination, Refill disinfectant, Cleaning lab supplies.
