Research Associate Alan Biller Menlo Park, CA Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $85,000 a year 20 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Bachelor's degree Decision making Excel data analysis Full Job Description We are seeking Research Associates to assist Analysts on a broad range of asset classes, including public equities, fixed income, private equity, private debt, infrastructure, and commercial real estate. The ideal candidate is seeking a robust experience in institutional portfolio construction and manager research.
Responsibilities:
Qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess investment strategies Due diligence includes data analysis, manager conference calls, on-site visits, and write-ups Analyze manager performance to determine the drivers of risk and return, alpha composition, and the robustness of the strategy in various market environments Work collaboratively with team membersRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance or Business CFA preferred and a desire to pursue the designation if not completed Three years (or more) of relevant experience, especially in institutional investments Working knowledge of investment strategies and capital markets Proficient with Excel and financial information systems (e.g. eVestment, HFR, MPI) Experience with portfolio analytics/attribution through Barclays Point, Factset, or Bloomberg Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented and ability to synthesize data and make deductive decisions. Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and presentation skills for internal/external audiences as well as strong listening and questioning skills Robust organizational skills and ability to work effectively under pressure Team player with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic Willingness to take initiative, exercise independent judgment and act decisivelyBenefits:
