ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY SUMMARY

: The Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is currently searching for one Part-Time Research Assistant (up to 20 hour per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer) to work on the research associated with Estimating cumulative impacts of the floating OSW platforms and associated infrastructure on fishes in California's Wind Energy Areas Grant, College of Science, under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Claisse, Principal Investigator.

SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO

(this is just a small sampling of work variety): Conduct the literature review. Compilation and integration of spatial and ecological data in ArcGIS. Conduct quantitative analyses that will directly support their thesis research. They will also mentor undergraduate students and contribute to outreach activities, such as developing interactive outreach products (e.g., website, ESRI Story Maps, R Shiny App).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

: Must be a current Cal Poly Pomona graduate student in good standing. Must have a Bachelor's degree in biology (or related field). Must have previous experience doing research with Dr. Claisse, and have experience using ArcGIS and R programming.
