Great Benefits including Medical, Dental, and Vision 4 weeks paid time off to start. 9 paid holidays 401k and profit sharing Full time, Monday to Friday Great work/home life balance The Coding Research & Training Assistant provides coding education, auditing support, and compliance training for providers and staff to ensure accurate documentation, coding, billing, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include conducting coding audits, researching ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines, assisting with compliance reporting, supporting staff training on coding and EHR systems, maintaining audit records, and collaborating with clinical, billing, and operations teams. This role also assists with patient record reviews, compliance monitoring, claims corrections, and special projects related to coding and health information management.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required Approved coding certification required (CCS or CPC) Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, billing, and auditing practices Experience with medical records review and outpatient clinical settings preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and EHR/practice management systems preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements for extended periods Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity required for computer and office-related tasks Travel may be required as needed
