Job Description

Job Summary The Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Program is establishing a strategic partnership with materials-focused industries to strengthen and expand its research enterprise. This position will work in close collaboration with the MSE Program Director, Associate Directors, and program staff to develop and execute a comprehensive partnership strategy. Who We Are The Materials Science and Engineering Program at CU Boulder is at the forefront of research advancements across fields including biotechnology and medicine, sustainability, renewable energy, polymers, nanotechnology, electronics and photonics, advanced computing, self-assembly and more. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Participating in an MSE-led working group to define partnership goals and priorities Engaging with key stakeholders across campus to align institutional capabilities and opportunities Identifying and evaluating best practices from comparable academic-industry partnership models Collaborating closely with the MSE External Advisory Board to inform strategy development Identifying, developing, and cultivating new industry partnerships Preparing and presenting partnership plans and recommendations to MSE leadership What We Can Offer The salary for this 50% position will be $54,080 annually. At least 3 years of Post-Doctoral Research Associate work experience. What We Would Like You to Have Previous experience with the Materials Science & Engineering program.
