Research Scientist (Part-Time OPS)

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

This is an OPS research scientist position that supports a research scientist position focused on wastewater treatment technologies. The anticipated employment period is from April 15th, 2026, through December 31st, 2026.

JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Conduct literature reviews on wastewater treatment technologies. Investigate machine learning enhanced modeling tools for biosolids recycling strategies. Conduct modeling research related to industrial wastewater treatment technologies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Proficient in essential fate and transport and hydrologic modeling techniques.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in civil engineering or environmental engineering.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW

This position requires a criminal background check, which will include a Level II screening as required by Florida Statutes §435.04. This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE

The work schedule for this position will be discussed with the assigned staff member.
