IFLIP2: NSF-Funded STEM Education Reform Initiative (Multi-Institution)Position Overview:
We are seeking a Research Associate to support a National Science Foundation (NSF)-funded STEM education reform grant spanning multiple institutions across Illinois. This role is ideal for an MS in STEM graduate, applying expertise in project coordination, data management, educational technology, event management, and information systems to drive meaningful STEM education innovation. What You Will Do Maintain organized digital file systems and documentation across a complex multi-institution project. Build and maintain a professional project website that remains current, accessible, and aligned with project goals. Design and conduct Qualtrics surveys end-to-end, from creation and distribution through to data analysis, data visualization and presentation of key findings. Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies to support teaching and learning across the initiative. Coordinate meetings, workshops, and events across partner institutions including logistics and technical facilitation.FLSA:
Exempt Master of Science in a STEM discipline, with a preference for Masters in Information Systems, educational technology or closely related disciplines. Proficiency in Qualtrics, data analysis tools, and collaboration platforms. Experience or advanced coursework in AI/ML applications, information management, or educational technology. Strong communicator with the ability to work across diverse, distributed teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience with data analytics tools such as R, Python, SAS for statistical analysis. Experience with web design and development using CMS platforms or front-end tools. Prior involvement in NSF or federally funded research projects.Application Materials and Information:

Extra Help employees are appointed to fulfill casual or emergent needs within the university. The amount of time for which services are needed is not usually predictable and payment for work performed is on an hourly basis and based on actual hours worked. Workdays and hours may vary according to departmental requirements. Extra Help employees do not receive SIUE benefits, holiday pay or paid sick or vacation leave. Extra Help employees are required by State Universities Civil Service System rules to take a 30-calendar-day break after working 900 hours. At the end of the 30 days, you may begin another 900-hour employment cycle in a new position if available. Working Extra Help will in no way affect any other employment opportunities with SIUE, including your position on and Civil Service register. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment.Illinois Residency Requirement:
Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position. Illinois residency requires proof of a valid Illinois Driver's License or state of Illinois ID Card. Failure to produce the required documentation within 180 calendar days will result in immediate termination of employment.Pre- Employment Screening:
