Standard Internship $ Paid $15.00/hr Part Time Description The Patachou Foundation's Food Fellowship is a dynamic, paid summer career-training program designed for high school students residing in Marion County, Indianapolis. We offer a comprehensive learning experience encompassing various facets of the food industry, including culinary arts, hospitality, urban farming, and financial literacy. By participating in our fellowship, students gain invaluable hands-on experience and develop transferable skills that pave the way for diverse career opportunities in the food sector.
POSITION OVERVIEW

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage in hands-on training sessions led by industry experts. Cultivate skills in urban farming, culinary arts, and hospitality. Participate in financial literacy workshops to develop essential money management skills. Demonstrate leadership qualities and contribute positively to team dynamics. Attend college and career readiness counseling sessions for personalized guidance. Complete work-based learning assignments to earn high school and college credits. Qualifications
ELIGIBILITY
High school student enrolled in Marion County, Indianapolis. Eligible for employment in Indiana. Commitment to the Fellowship schedule, including orientation, fellowship duration (Monday to Friday), and celebration dinner. Optional participation in a one-week internship following the fellowship. Dedication to graduating from high school. Willingness to adhere to the no-cell-phone policy during fellowship activities. Commitment to follow-up meetings after Food Fellowship graduation Ability to lift 30 lbs without assistance Ability to work extended hours on feet Learning Objectives Students will be able to: Work as part of a team to support daily cafeteria operations
