This role is ideal for an early-career scientist looking to grow technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration in a GLP environment. Key Responsibilities Calculate required vehicle and test article quantities based on study design, body weights, and dosing schedules Generate, verify, and review formulation instructions and study documentation Execute formulation preparation and sampling procedures in compliance with protocols and SOPs Troubleshoot formulation and data issues and communicate findings to Study Directors and management Verify shipments, formulation procedures, and documentation for quality and completeness Apply scientific judgment to identify potential issues and propose solutions Direct and support junior technical staff during formulation execution Assist with equipment sterilization (autoclave), glassware washing, and lab maintenance Participate in laboratory investigations, process improvement, and method development Collaborate with Study Directors, Principal Investigators, and Sponsor representatives Dispose of residual dosing materials and non-regulated pharmaceutical waste according to procedures Cross-train and support other functional areas as workload allows Maintain compliance with BOPs, IACUC requirements, and all safety standards Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences) Experience 1+ year of relevant laboratory experience preferred Pharmaceutical, chemistry, toxicology, or contract research organization (CRO) experience a plus Skills & Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated, time-sensitive environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn validated lab systems Demonstrated attention to detail and data integrity Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and PPE requirements Ability to work evenings, weekends, or extended shifts when required Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing laboratory procedures Frequent fine motor activity and use of laboratory instruments Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment Regular use of computers and office/lab equipment Work Environment Laboratory and office setting Routine use of PPE (goggles, gloves, scrubs, face shields, shoe covers) Exposure to chemicals, biohazards, live animals, allergens, fumes, odors, and varying temperatures Noise level ranges from moderate to high depending on tasks
