Job Description

Research Technician - Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory About the Opportunity Job Summary The Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory (IASL) within the College of Science is seeking a full-time Research Technician for an NIH-funded, multidisciplinary project investigating the contribution of affective and motivational features associated with successful cognitive aging. This project employs MRI scans and autonomic physiological measures as well as behavioral and neuropsychological measures of affect, motivation, and memory. The project will involve healthy human adults of various ages. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Data collection, data management, and some data analysis (for neuropsychological, behavioral, physiological, and neuroimaging data) Working closely with participants as well as members of our multidisciplinary team Administrative tasks related to participant recruitment, project organization and management Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience, Engineering, or a related field Some experience working in a laboratory Familiarity with MRI, psychophysiology, and/or behavioral experiments is strongly preferred Prior experience with statistical (e.g., R or Python) and experimental software (e.g., MATLAB) is also preferred This research position is funded by an R01 grant. The duration of this position is contingent upon the continued availability of funding from this award at its current financial level. $20.77 - $28.56 With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
