Job Description

The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Nursing is seeking a part-time , contractual (Contingent I) Evaluator (Clinical Research Assistant) for the Department of Organizational Systems and Adult Health. The primary functions of the Evaluator are participant screening and recruitment, consenting and primary data collection (survey and MotionWatch) from study participants.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Participant screening and recruitment, consenting and primary data collection (survey and MotionWatch) from study participants. Maintain notes and records regarding screening and recruitment, data collection, and perform data entry Attend research team meetings, prepare progress reports, tracking data and record keeping. The candidate must have an interest in health research with older adults with dementia. He/she will be expected to work approximately 15 hours per week mostly in the assisted living sites located in the greater Baltimore area. The sites may not be on a bus route so access to transportation will be needed. The Clinical Research Assistant will be expected to be at the assisted living sites at least three weekdays per week. Training will be provided for the Clinical Research Assistant related to human subjects research, study procedures and protocols, and other tasks as it pertains to the project.

Qualifications :
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field of study related to the research of the clinical setting.
EXPERIENCE
Prior job-related experience working with older adults preferred Except for qualifications established by law, additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 undergraduate college credits being equivalent to one year of related experience. In instances where specific education and/or experience is required only directly related education and/or experience may be substituted.
