Field Research Assistant

Individuals will assist with implementing all aspects of applied corn, soybean and crop protection research operations in both field and laboratory settings. Candidates can gain exposure to industry leading agricultural research equipment and methodology (planters, harvesters, UAVs, and data platforms) while working with a team of diverse talents. Physical labor components may include heavy lifting, bending, and walking, and sometimes working in hot/humid/cold environments.

Responsibilities May Include:

Support research trial execution (e.g. planting, tillage, maintenance). Scout field sites throughout Michigan Assist with plant sample and data collection Powered equipment operation Maintenance of facilities and equipment Assist with day-to-day activities directed by team leaders

Required Skills:

Effective verbal and written communication skills Knowledge and ability to use handheld PC and/or iOS devices and Microsoft suite Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills Able to work independently and in team-based settings Valid driver's license in good standing Pass onboarding physical Able to work fulltime during summer, overtime requirements may arise
