MCAD is seeking an Institutional Research Analyst. This position leads data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform institutional decision-making, planning, and continuous improvement. The position supports accreditation, assessment, and institutional planning efforts while promoting a culture of evidence-based decision-making within a creative academic environment. The Institutional Research Analyst must be sensitive to college needs, employee and student goodwill, and overall brand equity of MCAD as an employer and educational institution. DETAILS:
This is a remote, full time, exempt position expected to work 35 hours a week. This position reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs and is paid $65,000 annually. TO APPLY

Collect, analyze, and maintain institutional data related to enrollment, student success, faculty, academic programs, and operations. Prepare and submit external reports for reporting and compliance submissions. Develop internal reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for internal stakeholders. Maintain data integrity and consistency across institutional systems and reports. Partner with academic and administrative leaders to collect and interpret data that informs strategic priorities, enrollment planning, resource allocation, and program development. Support institutional and departmental planning processes by developing metrics, benchmarks, and trend analyses. Provide data and analysis for board and executive reports, accreditation self-studies, and strategic planning updates. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect and interpret assessment data for programs and institutional outcomes. Support program review and accreditation processes with data, documentation, and analysis. Identify patterns and opportunities for student learning, retention, and success improvement. Design, administer, and analyze institutional surveys for internal and external stakeholders. Summarize results and present findings in accessible, visual, and narrative formats. Develop systems and practices for data stewardship, reporting schedules, and consistent data definitions. Promote data literacy and transparency across the college. Communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Perform other duties as assigned. Represent MCAD's vision, mission, and values. Bachelor's degree in education, data analytics, social sciences, or a related field, required; Master's degree in education, data analytics, social sciences, or a related field, strongly preferred. Three (3) years of experience in institutional research, data analysis, or higher education planning, required. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SPSS, R, or similar), required. Demonstrated ability to organize complex information, synthesize findings, and produce clear, accurate reports, required. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, required. Experience with student information systems, strongly preferred. Familiarity with accreditation processes and compliance reporting, preferred. Understanding of higher education trends, particularly in small, mission-driven, or arts-focused institutions, preferred. ENVIRONMENT

Founded in 1886, Minneapolis College of Art and Design is located in the rich creative community of the Twin Cities. Recognized nationally and internationally for its innovative approaches to art and design education, MCAD is home to approximately 800 students from 45 states and 15 countries. The college offers bachelor's degrees in fourteen disciplines including arts entrepreneurship, design, fine arts, and media arts; one MFA; three online master's degrees; and continuing education classes for all ages.
