Primary responsibilities:
Specific technical/bench-work research (60%):- Sample prep and analysis for flow cytometry or western blot
- Cell culture, including differentiation of bone marrow derived macrophages
- Independent data analysis and presentation of final results
- Keep detailed records of all experiments and procedures in laboratory notebooks, databases, spreadsheets, and web-based applications. General laboratory management duties (30%):
- Experiment preparation including reagent or buffer prep, and labeling.
- Follow established biological, chemical and physical safety procedures Other duties as assigned (10%):
- General organization or cleaning tasks
- Requires the ability to work occasional weekend hours
Qualifications Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- HS degree or a combination of education and experience to equal 4 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in tissue culture work
- Good interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills; comfort in working in a team
- Excellence in organizational skills
Pay and Benefits Pay Range:
$15.25/hr; depending on education/qualifications/experience. This is a temporary position, less than 3 months, not eligible for benefits.
