Primary Purpose of Position The primary purpose of this position is to provide support services to faculty, staff, and students in the department and to provide day-to-day operations of the research facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of various departmental equipment, which may require the use of a pallet jack. Work will include inventory control, including surplus and moves, and proper disposal, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of existing systems, interaction with vendors for service contracts and vendor relations activities, research area access control, assist with regulatory standard compliance to maintain a safe environment, and research support activities, including printing needs.
Minimum Education/Experience Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency.

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google-related software products; Ability to lift to 50 pounds; Excellent analytical and organizational skills along with written and oral communication skills; Experience in interaction with scientific vendors and vendor relations activities. Experience in a research environment using Biological research equipment and with research activities.
