Adjunct Research Assistant

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The position will entail participation in field operations and analysis of data collected by our research group's air-sea flux buoy and instrumented UAVs. Experience is required in the areas of analog electronics, functional scientific programming. In-person activities will entail fieldwork and research system development. Duties/Responsibilities (70%) Field operations, including tending to buoy and operating research aircraft Development of new observational tools for performing fieldwork (20%) Data analysis and visualization Scientific programming in MATLAB and/or Python (10%) Scientific/engineering technical writing, for the purpose of sharing results in peer-reviewed academic journals

Requirements Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience :

Pursuit of B.S. in Ocean Engineering, Physics, or a related field Experience with data processing and analysis

Required Licenses & Certifications :

Driver's License Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Strong written communication skills Strong oral communication skills Ability to work as part of a team of engineers and scientists Organization ability Sense of care and responsibility for sensitive research equipment

Preferred Qualifications :
