Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Research Assistant (Wang Lab) for the Cognition and Learning Center (CALC) lab within the Psychology department. The Research Assistant will work with lab director to develop new lab protocols for data management, personnel, and general lab culture. This position primarily focuses on data collection, lab logistics, and working with senior lab members to recruit and train undergraduate assistants. Among the key duties of this position are the following: Plans lab events and meetings. Acts as the primary conduit for communication among lab members. Assists members with scheduling and other logistical needs. Recruits study participants. Conducts data collection as needed. Conducts literature searches. Works with senior lab members to recruit and train undergraduate research assistants. Assists with managing research assistants (e.g., assigning schedules). Performs other general administrative duties, such as ordering research supplies.
FLSA:
Nonexempt Salary Details $20 - $25/hourly Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Daily Work Shift:
Day Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, subject to change or discontinuation, and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System.

Temporary Staff Appointment - Hourly Minimum Education and Experience Bachelors' degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, or closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with human subjects' research. Experience with infants and young children when working with human subjects. Prior experience with computer programming (HTML, JavaScript, R, and Python).
