Research Associate - Preclinical Imaging Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory $66,300.00 - $83,460.00 Annually paid time off, retirement plan United States, York, Woodbury 500 Sunnyside Boulevard (Show on map) Apr 17, 2026 Position Description Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory located on Long Island, York, is presently seeking a Research Associate for an immediate position in preclinical imaging. The laboratory's Molecular Imaging shared resource is a collaborative facility within the Cancer Center that uses a variety of both established and experimental non-invasive imaging techniques to evaluate new cancer treatments and diagnostics, and to translate those findings to the clinic. Non-invasive imaging is a key component of this position. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and running the PET/CT and

SPECT/CT

scanners stationed within the Molecular Imaging core and conducting collaborative research projects with other investigators at CSHL. Proficiency in receiving and handling radioactive materials is a must. They will also have responsibility for maintaining and providing assisted use with a new EBRT (external beam radiotherapy) instrument, recently added to the core. Position Requirements Experience Minimum of 2-3 years of post-graduate experience Background in Medical Physics (preferred) Substantial experience in radionuclide imaging Experience operating preclinical PET/CT and

SPECT/CT

scanners Experience working with radiolabeled probes Experience with preclinical image-guided external beam radiotherapy (preferred) Skills Proficiency with analytical computer programs Strong attention to detail and meticulous record-keeping Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work effectively and productively in a team-oriented environment

Education:

Master's degree in Medical Physics or a related field
