Provides advanced patient-centered healthcare to children and adolescents with both complex acute and chronic mental health conditions.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
Conducts comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients. Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures according to established guidelines and standards. Develops and implements treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders. Monitors and evaluates patients' progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care for patients. Prescribes pharmacologic agents and provides ongoing medication management and monitoring. Provides psychoeducation and counseling to patients and their families. Assists in the education, training, and development of new and existing staff members. Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
Education Requirement:
Master of Science degree, required.
Licensure Requirement:
Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Ohio, required.
Certifications:
ANCC in Primary Mental Health Nursing (PMHNP), required.
